Talking Book Program
Are you unable to read books because of vision problems, even if the problems are temporary? Do you know someone whose physical disability prevents holding a book or turning pages? Is your reading disability physically based? If so, we welcome the opportunity to tell you about free library services to visually and physically disabled persons.

Keystone Blind Association's Talking Book Services helps bring books & magazines to those who cannot read printed materials because of physical or visual impairments.

Our services extend to Western Pennsylvania and Eastern Ohio.

The Pittsburgh Regional Library for the Blind offers over 50,000 recorded, large print, and braille book titles and 75 recorded and braille magazine titles.

  • Cassette books require a special cassette player which is available on free loan to readers.
  • Disc books are recorded on phonograph records, and a special disc machine is also available on free loan.
  • Braille books and magazines are available for adults & children.
  • Large print books are available to partially sighted individuals who have difficulty reading standard print.
  • Coming soon! Books and magazines on CD!
