Eleven Keystone Kids were overflowing with creativity at Creation Station on Saturday, May 5. Dawn Vakasy, Jonathan Hearn, George Casselberry, Raymond Queener, Kristen White, Jenna Sefcik, Mark Eicher, Tyrone Lites, Jenn Lilly, Kayla Withers and Joshua Calvin created pots from clay, painted T-shirts, made picture frames for a Mother's Day gift, decorated gift bags and made collages from unusual materials (like an old telephone!) Raymond turned the old phone he found into a sailboat (with ringing bells)! Jonathan and Kristen made very creative self-portraits. Tyrone made a robot and Kayla made a doll!
Thanks go out to the Hermitage Middle School Art Club for sending Ms. Cheryl Spenzer, Ed Green, Jessica Rowe, Justine Kowatch and Christine Hamrock for volunteering to help with the creations. Anna Craig and Tony and Kimberly Paglia were also on hand to help out.
Keystone Kids is a group for children who have visual impairments.
The skills taught during our activities are critically important
for the future success of any student with a visual loss. Call Kimberly
Paglia at 347-5501 for more information on how to join or help.
