Raindrops and clouds didn't dampen the Keystone Kids' spirits on Saturday, April
7. We just moved all the activities inside and filled the dining room with lots of fun activity and noise. The biggest group ever attended the picnic. Dawn Vakasy, Jenn Lilly, Kristen White, Jonathan Hearn, George Casselberry, Kayla Withers, Mark and Tiffany Eicher, Mohaned Sayegh, and Tyrone Lites welcomed newcomers Raymond Queener and Jenna Sefcik to our group.
Twinkle and Eyenstein came to help the balloon lady make funny shapes out of lots of balloons. Tyrone was the champ when he sat on his balloon to make it pop during one of the games. Everyone found several beeping Easter eggs, played games, made music and created Easter decorations.
Special THANKS to Abbey Sayegh (Mohaned's mom) for donating a ham for our lunch, treat bags for all the kids and 4 dozen hard-boiled eggs that we made into beautiful works of art. Also THANKS to Daffin's Candy for donating 15 candy bags for all the kids. Thanks to our volunteers: Kristen Prosenjak, Danielle Caszat, Loni Miller, Valerie Taylor, Tina Wininsky, James and Nik Preece, Ann Peterson, Tony and Kimberly Paglia; and mom volunteers Paulette Doyle, Bonnie Casselberry, Linda Sefcik, and Abbey Sayegh. Will Gavin and Becky made us a great lunch and then George entertained us with his fabulous harmonica. One last thanks to Kathy Lilly and Jim Hooker for driving so faithfully so our Keystone Kids can attend the activities.
Keystone Kids is a group for children who have visual impairments.
The skills taught during our activities are critically important
for the future success of any student with a visual loss. Our next
activity will be bowling and snacks on Saturday, March 10. Call
Kimberly Paglia at 347-5501 for more information on how to join
or help.
