As Keystone Kids, we enjoy many activities. But the highlight of all our activities is our Lock-Ins. The most recent one was February 22-23. We had a total of 17 kids at this event. In our fun-filled night we did an array of activities. Our first activity was the culinary work of preparing our own personal pizzas. We each got to choose from a variety of toppings for our pizza. Mohaned was the master cheese grater.
After we finished our dinner we made cup cakes. We learned to follow a recipe to bake them. We all got to add an ingredient and took a turn to whisk the ingredients together. Anna and Josh had great fun cracking eggs. Next we got to line the pans with cupcake liners. Then we filled the pans with batter and baked them. When they cooled off, we each got to frost and decorate our own cupcakes before eating them.
We also had a talent show. All of the Keystone Kids participated in the show. We had many acts. Some of them were Raymond playing the keyboard. Kayla played chopsticks. Jonathan played the keyboard with accompaniment from George on harmonica. We also heard Tiffany play the keyboard and Kristen and Jenna showed how to teach Kibby, Kathie’s dog, tricks.
Our next activity was a mix of all kinds of arts and crafts. We could choose from making a
patch during our activities are critically important for the future success of any student with a visual loss.
Our next activity will be bowling and snacks on Saturday, April
20. Call Kimberly Paglia at 347-5501 for more information on how
to join or help.
