    Games, Games, Games

Here are some games you probably played as a kid, but maybe have forgotten. Your visually impaired child can play all these games, too. You may just have to do some coaching until he understands and remembers how to play. It's okay to help your child go through the motions if he is unable to do the motions himself.

  1. This Little Piggy Went to Market
  2. Hide and Seek (if your child is unable to find you when you hide, then hide a noisy toy and search for it together)
  3. Mother May I
  4. Simon Says
  5. Tag (the grown-up has to play on his or her knees to keep things fair)
  6. Hokey Pokey
  7. Follow the Leader (be sure to say what you're doing if your child is unable to see you)
  8. Red Light, Green Light
  9. Choo-Choo Train (remember lining up all the kitchen chairs and pretending that they were a train?)

Senses used: proprioceptive, kinesthetic, haptic, vestibular, touch, hearing, vision, echolocation, object perception
