Through the AbilityOne Program and in partnership with National Industries for the Blind (NIB), Keystone Vocational Services is providing employment opportunities for blind and visually impaired individuals to assemble and package a line of industrial-grade fiberglass digging and striking tools for sale to the federal government. Keystone also offers these tools for sale to state governments through a partnership with UniqueSource Products and Services, as well as to the general public. There are 46 different products that make up our industrial grade line of digging and striking tools.

Our employees utilize specially adapted equipment to allow them to rivet, drill, cut, and assemble the tools up to and including proper labeling for both federal and state orders that are shipped all across the country, as well as internationally. We utilize various machines and jigs to assist our employees who are blind or visually impaired to assemble these products with safety in mind. In 2022, Keystone sold over 63,000 tools, generating just shy of $2.0 million in sales. In addition, we employed 16 individuals in our production department, of which 12 are blind and / or disabled.

Keystone has been manufacturing these products since 2009, and we are excited to now be able to offer this line to our Federal customers under the nationally recognized Skilcraft brand name. Products are available in multiple sizes for specific tools. Hover over the pictures below to see more information.

Tools can be purchased online at keystonetools.org or by calling 724-347-3711 for pricing, or stop by our storefront
